Art for Everyone
At TRIBE ART, we believe that creativity has no limits.
At TRIBE ART, we believe that creativity has no limits.
Founded in January of 2024, TRIBE ART GALLERY was born when two artists, Cedric and Gee have met in Rwanda.
Munsi Y’igiti (means ‘Under the Tree‘ in the local kinyarwanda language) was an already established name by Cedric, functioning as a unique and charming art studio located beneath a palm tree, right beside Gee’s favourite restaurant, Migano Cafe in Gisenyi/Rubavu, Rwanda.
Gee was volunteering as an art teacher in the East African countries, leaving Rwanda as the last destination.
She often visited the nearby restaurant, hoping that one day she will find the little art shop open but Cedric’s shop was always closed.
Despite of that she didn’t give up and one day she finally found it open.
When she introduced herself to Cedric and explained what is she doing in Rwanda, they instantly resonated with each other.
She got the idea to create an art school for children in need in Cedric’s art studio.
Later she added DIY workshops, music and dance as well, connecting everyone and everything under the wings of TRIBE ART GALLERY.
Cedric‘s facility in Gisenyi, Rwanda is a fully equipped studio with workshops, an inspiring space for learning and creation as well as gallery and exhibition space for showcasing student work.
Our faculty consists of artists and craft people who are passionate about sharing their knowledge and expertise with students. They bring years of experience and a wealth of creative ideas to the classroom, ensuring that each student receives personalised attention and instruction.
We guarantee that you or/and your child will feel right at home at Munsi Y’igiti Art and Craft School.
At Munsi Y’igiti Art and Craft School, we believe that art is an essential part of the human experience, and that everyone has the potential to be creative in their own unique way. By nurturing creativity and providing opportunities for self-expression, we aim to empower students to become confident, critical thinkers and problem solvers.
We also recognise the importance of community and collaboration, and strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment where students can learn from one another and grow together.
We offer a variety of programs for all levels of experience, including painting, drawing, sculpture, and more. Our classes are taught by experienced professionals who are passionate about teaching the next generation of artists.
Our faculty members are all accomplished dancers in their own right, with years of experience working in the field. They are dedicated to helping our students develop their skills and achieve their goals.
We pride ourselves on providing a comfortable and inspiring environment for our students to develop their singing and music skills.
We host a variety of events throughout the year, including artist talks, gallery exhibitions, and workshops. Send us an email if you want to know what's coming up and join us for some inspiring and educational events.
We want our students to achieve great success in the art world by exhibiting their work in galleries or showing their dancing and music skills on the stage. We are eager to take a role in their development as artists or artisans and look forward to helping more students achieve their dreams.
